How We Create Revolutionary Products
What an exciting venture is a creating of a new product, especially if you know that this will turn the world upside down! But the newest researches have revealed a need for a comprehensive solution that will rule in 100% of cases. Customers want solutions for their problems, but they can’t quite identify what they need. This is where you come in.
Today we will talk about our vision and our rules of Design Flow and you will see every significant stage of creating a brand-new product from 0 to 100.
Milestone 1
The first and the main stage of every business deal is negotiation, sometimes a lot of negotiations with client. After we made sense about project and get clear minds, we’re starting to prepare PDR – Preliminary Design Review. It’s a technical assessment that establishes the allocated baseline of a system to ensure a system is operationally effective.
During the PDR stage, we develop a document that defines the goals and objectives, as well as technical requirements and standards of the system to ensure its effectiveness and prevent risks in development. We implement the basic strategy of product development and set priorities. We develop the architecture of the project, define the software and hardware components coordination. Also, we provide the initial estimate and key milestones as well as the cost. Market research is done in order to ensure the viability of the project.
Milestone 2
Once we have made a plan of our actions, and have chosen the right strategy and calculated all the risks, we can move on to the next stage.
Our second milestone is POC – Proof of Concept. This phase implies the realization of the method of development in order to demonstrate its feasibility.
During this stage, we make sure that the system is feasible and results are possible to achieve with the help of existing technologies. We conduct a big amount of testing of Concept and check the availability of ready-made solutions and analogs on the market and test the components of a future product. We purchase all the necessary components and hardware and involve external specialists who share their opinion about working solution and help us in making experiments with them. In the end of it, we check the working technologies, make different measurements and test the variations. As a result, we get a technology proof which is feasible and a clear vision of the output of efforts.
Milestone 3
Next step – developing of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) – a product with just enough features to satisfy early and key needs of customers and end-users, and to provide feedback for future product development.
The minimum viable product implies the key functionality of the product so it is ready to be shown to the end-users. The main functions are being processed which are necessary to perform the tasks and meet the goals of the project. It can be also called the working prototype. At this stage, we provide an already working solution that has been tested and proven and the product is ready for adding the
functionality and additional changes.
Milestone 4
So, we have a working prototype with the main features. Now we have to create Minimal Market Prototype (MMP) that will be like a working product which functions in accordance with all expectations and have all the functionality implemented.
This version of product is fully ready to go to the market and be promoted to the end-users. On this stage we add all the necessary and planned functionality, make final adjustments and realize all ideas to improve the product and make it complete. We conduct a lot of testing and make sure it works according to customers’ final expectations. The product is fully optimized, complies to all standards and meets the goals of the project.
Milestone 5
Mass Production Optimization. Before this phase, we didn’t think about maximal optimization of the product, but we use the most convenient tools in development. So now we’re starting to searching for bugs and optimizing every part of code.
During this stage, the product is optimized for mass production and working in real-time conditions. We make all necessary tests and adjustments for the product to be viable in the real environment and comply with all standards.
The cost is optimized for the requirements of mass production and the list of components is optimized as well.
Milestone 6
The last and desired stage is Mass Production.
During this stage, we make all necessary steps to support the customer during production, such as helping to choose a manufacturing partner, advising distributors, technical support and maintenance, QA, advisory and coordination.
And now in your hands appears the most anticipated product that will probably blow up the market and make life of billion people on the planet easier (as well as make you fabulously rich and influential in business circles). But we forget to tell you about our own company features at few stages of developing.
Here they are:
- producing of the batch of working devices according to the specification +1 device forever stays on our side
- at each stage, a photo report is produced in good quality with normal light and a brief description and preservation of the dates
- communication with the client. The client should be constantly informed about the occurring communication with him once every 2 days, but not less than a weekly report.
At the end of telling about our vision of Design Flow, we want to say that it’s not the only reliable and correct way to work on projects. You may go in other ways as you think, but we do as we do and you can see all results of ADUK GmbH Design Flow at aduk.de (hardware development services) – Our Cases.
